On The Board

Chris Sale (CHW)

He has started the campaign in a perfect way to get 8 wins in his first 8 starts (ERA 1.67), becoming the fourth White Sox pitcher to achieve that (the last time this happened they were World Series champions, Jon Garland 2005).
Since 1951, Sale is just the fifth pitcher in the Majors to triumph in his first 8 games of the season while having an ERA under 2.00.

Extra: Adam Jones (Baltimore Orioles) and Troy Tulowitzki (Toronto Blue Jays) both connected on home run number 200, and are now among the 330 players who have reached that mark in their careers. Tulowitzki is the thirteenth shortstop in history and Jones is the third active center fielder with that amount of longballs.
