On The Board

Colorado and San Francisco

The Rockies sent 17 hitters to the plate and connected on 10 hits in the fifth inning, to establish a new franchise record with 13 runs scored in a frame (10 unearned) against the Giants.
For San Francisco, they hadn't given up 10 unearned runs in a game since 1976. For the second time within the same week, they allowed at least 12 runs in a single inning (April 29 vs. New York Mets, third frame), and it is just the third time in MLB history that a team gives up 12+ runs in multiple games during a season.

Extra: The Cincinnati Reds extended their record in the Majors, when their bullpen reached 23 straight contests, giving up at most one run.
